Double digit growth

The toll roads and car parks division has had a very satisfactory year, with revenues increasing by double figures with EBITDA above 17% and exceeding 700 million euro. The most relevant event was the development of the Canadian 407 ETR toll road, which represents half of the value of Cintra, with an increase in revenues of more than 11%.

During 2007 Cintra has continued to look for and research new projects and the outlook for 2008 is very good. Aside from its existing markets, namely The United States and Europe, Cintra is studying potential investments in new countries.

Cintra has been in operation for 10 years, and is now a world reference for the private development of transport infrastructures:  69.2% of sales and 77.7% of EBITDA come from projects outside Spain. Cintra is also the largest company in the car park sector in Spain.

Toll roads

Cintra has a backlog of 23 concession contracts distributed amongst Spain, Canada, the United States, Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Chile, where it manages 2,841 kilometres of toll road and a 16.18 billion euro investment. In the United States, Cintra is also a strategic partner of the State of Texas for the development of Trans-Texas Corridor project.

Car parks

In the car park sector, Cintra manages 266,805 parking spaces in 137 cities in Spain, Andorra and Puerto Rico.
