  • Improve employment conditions, guarantee equal opportunities and non-discrimination between employees.

  • Advance in the design and implementation of systems that effectively prevent and reduce occupational risks and serve as a benchmark in the sectors in which we are involved.

  • Design reliable instruments to measure the quality of industrial relations, motivation and professional development of Ferrovial's employees in order to improve our work efficiency.

Objectives for 2008

  • Present a corporate values proposal which offers a global framework, while maintaining the specific features of each company in the Group.

  • Extend the Employee Satisfaction Survey to 12,500 employees, a 73% increase.

  • Develop a new integrated Health and Safety training plan. Obtain OSHAS certification for all Construction activity.

Milestones in 2007

  • Occupational safety. Cespa obtained the OSHAS certificate and Amey and Tube Lines were awarded the Royal Society prize for occupational safety management.

  • Talent management. Management Succession Planning Programme.

  • Training. Start-up of the Summa Corporate University with the participation of 1,627 employees and 37,378 hours of classes.

  • Equal opportunities. High increase in the number of women in executive positions.

  • Employment quality. Ferrovial is among the first 30 best companies to work for according to the Actualidad Económica league tables. In 2007, Ferrovial renewed its Family Friendly Company certificate, which is based on the EFR 1000-1 standard.
